Glorify Your Name

Facing the cross, Jesus asked the Father to glorify His name and the Father answered from heaven.

• The hour had come - soul troubled, crowd listening - and Jesus asked the Father to glorify His name, not to skip the cup.
• Level 1: Jesus prayed that God would look good through the hard thing ahead - not that He could skip it.
• Level 2: Like a runner who wants the coach honored at the finish line - not an exit ramp before the race ends.
• Level 3: When the costly hour arrives, glorifying the Father's name outweighs escape - obedience shows His glory, comfort does not.
• Level 4: When the hard hour arrives, pray that God is honored through your obedience - not that you can skip the cup.
• Level 5: Not My Will repeats the same surrender in Gethsemane; under Free Grace the cross is where the Father's name shines - not where you bargain out of cost.

Examples

• I wanted the hard conversation to go away and prayed for an easy out - Jesus prayed for the Father's name to be glorified as the hour arrived.
• Promotion meant more visibility and more criticism; my instinct was self-protection - His prayer aimed glory at the Father, not comfort for Himself.
